After a very busy and successful 2013 – which we sent off with quite a flourish – we’re now busy again at the Forest with the start of our holiday program plus Chinese New Year Celebrations.
If you haven’t yet discovered the delights of the Australian Rainforest Sanctuary – locally known as the Forest of Tranquility – then we encourage you to do so in 2014. We’re based at Ourimbah, on the Central Coast of NSW and are committed to the care of and education for our environment. The Forest is a wonderful place for getting close to Australia’s rare native flora and fauna, a meditative space, a way to get away from the stress of everyday life and commune with nature.
Here is a summary of our events and activities through January and February:
Pirate Mermaids and Water Bugs – 19 January –
10 am for 10:30 start. Details below http://www.forestoftranquility.com/events.php
Lunar Chinese New Year – 8 February
Live Earth Music
Our July School Holiday program is now available – details are on our Program page. Spending some time in the Forest is a great way to keep the kids occupied – and away from the telly – during the school holiday break.
We’re inviting FAIRIES – yes, that’s right, FAIRIES – on Wednesday’s from the 10th of July. Fairies of any age are welcome to visit and we encourage all of them to come in costume. Our Rainforest Queen will be arriving at 12.30 on July 10th and we’ll be having Fairy Storytelling at 1pm and 2pm each Wednesday with Miss Lilly Pilly Queen. And of course, we encourage our fairies to take a Rainforest Walk while they’re here and meet some new friends.
Mark your calendar for our FAIRY FESTIVAL DAY on Sunday 22nd September 2013.
